Registrations are now opened for the CONFERENCE – DEBATE « The future of Science in Europe ?” which will take place APRIL 28, 2016 – from 14PM to 18PM on the university campus (WEIL amphitheater) !

The afternoon begins with an outstanding conference on “gravitational waves and black holes” by Professor Thibault Damour.
Thibault Damour is theoretical physicist, professor at the Institute of Advanced Scientific Studies. It is known worldwide for his pioneering work on black holes, pulsars, gravitational waves and quantum cosmology. He is a member of the Academy of Sciences, and especially obtained the Einstein Medal of the Albert Einstein Gesellschaft (Switzerland).
Then, the President of the European Research Council, Jean-Pierre Bourguignon will give a keynote on the “propects and challenges of science in Europe” before debating with numerous guests on scientific excellence, European funding, Innovation leverages,…
